| Comment: | The then photo is from the car crash 2 months before graduation in 2003. I was on my way to earn top honors as either the first or second highest candidate of our class in the graduate track. This would have been a phenomenal feat as I have been conquering the stigma, discrimination and hostility towards people with mental health issues for years. Instead, I was convalescing at Howard University Hospital for almost 6 months learning to walk again. March 16, 2003, is always special for me because it's 10 days after my actual birthday and the day I will never forget God spared my life three times. Please understand the "then" photo attached so that my classmates who did not know what happened to me, as the Vice President of our class of 2003 HUSSW SGA. I believe it has been long enough and healing with true forgiveness must continue. I still got love for my dream school: THE REAL HU, U Know!!! |
