James Mickens

James was born to Russell and Laura Mickens April 10, 1928 in Paris, Texas. He spenthis childhood there, attending grammar school and high school.
He attended Texas College in Tyler, Texas. Afterwards, he joined the United States Navy for several years.
Upon being discharged Honorably, he came to Phoenix, Arizona. He worked for Reynolds Aluminum Company for approximately fifteen years. Later he worked for Van Waters & Rogers Chemical Company for 24 years.
He attended Amos Metropolitan Methodist Church.
