Obituary for Doug E. Baucom
Born January 2, 1966 to Ronald E Baucom and E Sue Baucom in Tulsa, OK, Doug went to be with our Lord June 15, 2020. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Jean M Baucom; daughter Jill Schweikert (Chad); his mother Sue Baucom; sister Lisa Showalter (Jeff) and several nieces and a nephew.
Doug graduated from Edison High School, Tulsa, OK, 1984. He also completed a four-year apprenticeship and received his journeyman electrician license and then continued into a career in Telecom and became a Telecom Engineer. He worked on site at St. John Hospital for 23 years and had many close friends there.
Doug was an Eagle Scout and was an avid outdoorsman. Doug was most at peace when he was out in nature and went on vacation frequently in Red River, NM and Colorado riding ATV's, hiking and horseback riding. Doug also enjoyed his time at the lake. Doug also had many hobbies which included leather work, arrowhead napping and playing his guitar. He would hand craft arrowheads and give them as a gift to let someone know they were appreciated. Doug also was a ham radio operator. He had a unique sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. He was a man who would be prepared for anything and would meet challenges head on.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel, 9350 East 51st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
