Michael Morelli

Marital status: Married
Children: 2
Occupation: Retired
What you're doing now: Down sizing
Fond Memory: simpler times
Highlight(s) of last 50 years: Highlights include, but are not limited to:
- 13 years in the scuba business where I met my wife and had the opportunity to travel to many amazing diving destinations. This also gave me an opportunity to work with and become friends of Mark and Marty Stauffer from Wild America fame along with John Denver. Then had the ultimate experience as I worked with Jim Henson to make a Muppet movie. Yes, I was Rowlf and Gonzo, but the best memory was one day while the set was on lunch, John Denver pulled out his guitar and Jim Henson pulled out Kermit. What happened next was magical as the two started singing and for the next 45 minutes everyone was just mesmerized.
- Then adopted our 2 kids and spent the next 20 or so years committed to them. Travel and exposure to the world were key so we created a lot of amazing memories.
- Along the way I went to work in health care and started back to school where I graduated with my BBA. I had started out to become a nurse, but changed majors after the first year because of my kid commitments although I did continue working in health care. After working in health care for 22 years I was unceremoniously retired in 2010 because of the economical bust.
- This is when I started my food truck business. 40 years of traveling to Portland and other places with big food truck cultures made me always want to be a part of this. I saw this as my last chance, so started a truck and have spent the last 10 years working to develop that culture here on the western slope. We have done events from Vail to Aspen to Telluride and just about everywhere in between. Thought last year would be my final year, but Covid changed plans and fortunately this year the interest in my business was higher than I had expected so was able to sell it in June. One memorable event involved cooking at the Aspen Food and Wine Festival where many of my culinary idols stopped by to see what I was cooking in my wood fired ovens. The picture I have used in my update picture was taken at this event. If you are familiar with and watch the food channels you will recognize who I am with. My wife still reminds me how it took days for the smile to go away.
- Now looking forward to more travel and retirement

Michelle Zwickl (Morgan)

Marital status: Married
Children: 3
Occupation: Retired
What you're doing now: Enjoying the Grandchildren and doing some traveling. We spend winters in Arizona and enjoy the warmer weather.
Fond Memory: My fondest memory is of all the friends that went through school together and the lasting friendships we have maintained. I remember Senior Sneak in Snowmass and the fun day of skiing. I wish to thank all of the people on this reunion committee for all their hard work and bringing us to this great week of reconnecting.
Highlight(s) of last 50 years: Dennis and I married the summer after my first year of college and have now celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary. We have been blessed with three wonderful children and seven delightful Grandchildren. Our oldest daughter and her son live here in Glenwood, our middle daughter lives in Denver with her family and our son just moved to Florida last year after living in the Denver area. Our oldest Grandson is 16 and our youngest Grandson is four and an adopted child from China. Dennis and I have now retired from Elmer Glass after 42 years as business owners. Both of our parents have passed away but left us with many blessings and happy memories. We have done some world traveling, walked on the Great Wall, the beaches of Normandy and the streets of London and Paris, to name just a few. Dennis has a health issue and we are not going to be here for Thursday as we need to get to Arizona and see his cardiologist. He is needing to have his second heart valve replaced in a TVAR procedure, all prayers would be greatly appreciated. We will be thinking of all of you and praying that everyone has a great time and makes it home safely. Have Fun!!

Jean Alberico (Nadon)

Marital status: Married
Children: 3
Occupation: Garfield County Clerk & Recorder
What you're doing now: I am currently my fourth term as County Clerk and have been working in the office for 39 years. My term is up next year and I will not run for re-election. I plan to retire.
Fond Memory: The joy of growing up in a small town when life seemed much slower and we were not all attached to electronic devices and found time to just be with each other- jump roping, playing all the kid games, going to ball games, being in pep club, going to Denver for the State Basketball Tournament. Had to wait until 1975 when my twin brothers were playing to celebrate winning state.
Highlight(s) of last 50 years: Steve and I adopted our children when we were in our early forties and often times were mistaken for their grandparents. I am so grateful that they came into our lives even though we had many challenges with our youngest daughter. We have 8 amazing and wonderful grandchildren- 4 boys and 4 girls. Currently three of them are living with us and going to school in Carbondale. It's mostly fun. Steve spends lots of time with them riding bikes around town and visiting all the great parks in Carbondale. I'm still working full time so I get to hold down the house-cooking lots of kid food and doing mountains of laundry.
