PAMELA J. WIELAND, 51 DEVOTED WIFE, MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER ROCKFORD - Pamela Jean Wilson Wieland, 51, lost her courageous, eight-year battle with ovarian cancer Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, in SwedishAmer-ican Hospital. Born in Rockford on Sept. 25, 1956, to Delbert and Neva (Tielkemeier) Wilson. For many years, Pam was self-employed as the talented owner and creative genius of Applied Design. In recent years, she worked at her dream job in fabric sales for Moda Fabrics/United Notions. She was an artist with a sewing machine, loving wife, doting grandmother, loyal friend and a very proud and outstanding mother. Besides her parents, survivors include husband, Tom; children, Stephanie McHugh of Chicago, Jenny (Peter) Brodeski of Rockford and Sean McHugh of St. Paul, Minn.; the loves of her life, granddaughters, Sophie and Amelia; stepchildren, Matt (Robin) Wieland and Anne Wieland; brothers, Doug (Alex) Wilson and Greg (Lisa) Wilson, both of Tucson, Ariz.; nieces, Bobbie and Joey Wilson; and nephews, Michael and Jack Wilson. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Swedish-American Hospital, seventh floor oncology department.
