BEAN, Karen of Saginaw, Michigan. Passed away Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Mercy Manor in Grayling, Michigan at the age of 75 years. Karen was born June 19, 1935 in Pontiac, Michigan, the daughter of the late James and Lucille (Anderson) Beatty. Karen married Ronald G. Bean August 10, 1957, and he predeceased her August 17, 1998. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Saginaw. Karen is survived by her children: Janet L. (Gregory) Lee, Grayling, MI, James R. (Valerie) Bean Beaverton, OR; Kenneth J. Bean Saginaw, Alan R. (Ann) Bean, Saginaw; a grandson, Andrew A. Bean, Saginaw; and a sister, Susan (Donald) McCollister, Midland. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday January 17, 2011 at the W.L. Case Funeral Chapel 4480 Mackinaw Road. Dr. Robert L. Emrich will officiate with burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Chapel from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and then on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
