I met Jen Kamins (i.e., Ruddock) in college and she has become a lifelong friend.  When she lost her son, Cash, unexpectedly at a young age the mantra/memory/organization/cause "Love Hard" was formed.  Love Hard provides support to families who have lost a child or parent too soon in life.  All funds raised through the annual 5k help to offer support, counselling and retreats to various families in need.  You'll often see me wearing a hat, shirt, sweatshirt or sporting a "Love Hard" water bottle in support of this amazing cause.
