Glen Earl Wilkes, age 31 of Austin died Saturday, January 9, 1988.
He was a 23 year resident of Austin, graduating from Anderson High School, where he composed the school song. He had been a member of both Lanier and Anderson High School bands, the University of Texas band and had been drum major with Texas Lutheran College band. He was a manager of Capitol of Texas Travel Agency and co-founder with his partner, Malcolm Nelson.
He is survived by his parents, Earl C. and Barbara Wilkes; brother, Clay Wilkes; sisters, Linda Jefferson, all of Austin and Dianne Forehand of San Marcos, several nieces and nephews.
