Nancy Arnold

Nancy Arnold

Nancy died of a tumor on her spine in 1972 or 1973.
Susie Gallagher Wells was Nancy's nurse and wrote the following: I never knew Nancy in High School as there were so many people in our class. When she came into the hospital we just became friends. She was one of the bravest people I have ever known. Even at the young age of 19 she smiled and kept the nurses laughing. She introduced me to George Carlin and we would sit in her room and laugh all evening. She was in a lot of pain, but she never complained. I will remember her always. I only wish that as teenagers, we had all realized how short life can be and had gotten to know more of our classmates.

Jeff Lutz told us that he enjoyed visiting "Tiffy" because his father had ponies. Tiffy was a great friend.
Clifford's wife Bonnie (NA class of 1973) told us that he was a wonderful husband. She told her mother when she was 16 that she was going to marry Clifford - even before they dated! Bonnie said that many people called him Tiffy because his sister couldn't say Clifford. He attended Ashland College and then a year and 1/2 of Law School until his father died. He then started to work with a cousin in the construction business, spending time on the farm with their horses and ponies. Clifford and Bonnie have a wonderful daughter Ashley. When Cliffor...

Dick died of a massive heart attack at age 58. He was living in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Friends and family had been trying to reach him and became especially concerned when they couldn’t reach him over Super Bowl weekend. Finally the Cheyenne police were called to check his home. Dick’s car was in his garage. They entered the house and found Dick sitting in his chair with a book and holding a cigarette in his mouth. The coroner determined he had died of a fatal heart attack 7-10 days before being discovered on February 5th. There is a possibility that his condition may have been hereditary. At least 4 family members died under similar circumstances, ages ranging from 42 to 80. Two doctors diagno...

Robert Paul Carchidi

Robert Paul Carchidi

Robert Paul Carchidi died in 1994 of a heart attack. Robert was a US Air Force Major.
Debra Phillippi Scelza spoke with Bob’s wife, Sandy, who told her a sweet, sad story. She and Bob had a wonderful life together, traveled all over the country and world. Bob was the Executive Assistant to a General. For a long time, it seemed that they would not be able to have children so they lived life to the fullest, having adventures and sharing passions for music, dancing, skiing and, for Bob, flying small planes. To their surprise, in 1991 they had a daughter, Krista and a couple years later a son, Ryan. Sadly, Bob succumbed to a heart attack when his children were still small. Bob loved his...
