Andy was a great guy, talented in so many ways. I had tremendous respect for him, and I'm honored to have called him my friend. He put up a courageous battle for many years with leukemia. He was really good about keeping in touch over the years and maintaining our friendship. He wrote to me just a few days before he died, so I was shocked to hear of his passing. I really miss him.
