I am one of many classmates that still live in So Cal. I lived in Placentia with my husband for 30 years(we parted ways 15 years ago) and we raised two amazing sons who now live in San Diego and San Francisco. I feel quite fortunate to have had a variety of work, education and social opportunities that allowed me to meet truly remarkable and interesting people and to travel and see much of the United States. I now live in the great city of Huntington Beach with my best friend and mate, Joe Anello. I have had the good fortune to plan, coordinate and produce all sorts of fantastic events over the years. Ranging from sporting events such as marathons, gymnastics and surf competitions to social events that include Chili Cook Offs, Taste Fests, Holiday Tree Lighting, Halloween Festivals, Beer and Wine Tasting and Art Walks. I'm very happy to once again be on the reunion planning committee for our VPHS Class of '73 50th Reunion in 2023. High school reunions are interesting events. For some it is important to reconnect and renew past friendships. For others a time to reflect on fond memories of years gone by. For me, I enjoy bringing people together that have a common history and provide opportunities for possibly a new friendship, romance or business connection. Maybe the reunion is just a great evening out away from the ordinary... another adventure of sorts. |

After early graduation, I moved to Minneapolis (very Mary Tyler Moore-esqe). I started working for IDS where I eventually met my husband. After a couple years, he took a new job that moved us to Milwaukee. My son, Joe, was born there in 1977. Following several vacations back to California, the lure became strong and we moved back. We divorced in 1985. The majority of my working career has been spent in Commercial Real Estate Finance. I happily retired 2 years ago as Senior Vice President for Bellwether Enterprise. By then I’d had over 30 years’ experience in commercial mortgage banking; had served on the Asset Administration Committee of the MBA for three years; was included by Real Estate Southern California Magazine as one of the Most Powerful/Influential Woman in Commercial Real Estate for 3 years; and earned the MBA’s CCMS designation in 2013. Surprisingly, retirement keeps me very busy…either that or I’m just slower at accomplishing everything! Happy to be able to say life is good! |
