Patricia Lariviere

1955-06-06 2016-02-19
Patricia Kay Lariviere, age 60, of Aurora, IL, passed away on February 19, 2016, after a short, intense battle with metastatic breast cancer.

Patty was born June 6, 1955, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of W.F. (Larry) and Esther I. Lariviere. She graduated from Ames High School in 1973, attended the University of Northern Iowa, and had a successful international career in retail. She was employed by Sears, Eddie Bauer, Escada, Home Depot, Gap, Brookstone, Target, the Village of Oswego, and J.C. Penney.

Her beloved son, John Richard Lariviere, who misses her dearly, survives her. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Janis Lariviere of Chicago, and her niece, Anne (Lariviere) Montero, and her husband Jesse Montero both of Brooklyn, NY.

Wherever she worked, traveled, or visited, she left behind a group of friends who continue to cherish her charm, wit, and joie de vivre. This is especially true for her "family" at Faith Lutheran Church-a community of enormous import in her life.

Friends and family are invited to her memorial service at 4 PM on April 9, 2016, at Faith Lutheran Church, 3000 Liberty St., Aurora IL. In lieu of flowers, friends are encouraged to contribute to the John Richard Lariviere Trust c/o Richard Lariviere 225 N. Columbus Dr. #5805, Chicago, IL 60601.
