B2 Walkathon benefiting Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity

B2 Outlet Stores is excited to invite the community to a walkathon and carnival event happening Saturday, May 21, 2022!

This event will start with a family-friendly walkathon at 9am from B2 Outlet to the new Lakeshore Habitat Development in downtown Hudsonville at Prospect & 32nd.

After the walkathon, stick around for a fun carnival, featuring all sorts of games, foam pit, snacks, raffle prizes and more from 10am-2pm.

Why Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity?

Lakeshore Habitat seeks to put God's love into action through the building of homes, communities and hope! This year, they are developing 5 townhomes in downtown Hudsonville at Prospect St. & 32nd Avenue. Let's rally around them as they partner with our community to bring strength, stability and independence through affordable housing- something so critical and needed in West Michigan.

Invite your family & friends, build a race team, see how much you can raise TOGETHER!

*All funds raised / donated will go specifically to the Buttermilk Creek Townhomes being built in Hudsonville by Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity.

Meet Victoria & Josiah - the first future homeowners of Buttermilk Creek Townhomes!

Even though Victoria holds a degree and has a successful job in accounting, she still struggles,
like many others to find affordable housing options in our area. Becoming a single parent shortly
after her son, Josiah, was born, Victoria started renting a one-bedroom space from family and
used this time to pay off debt acquired from her past marriage. She is focused on paying off the
last of this debt to create a better future for her son.

As she thinks about finally owning her own home, Victoria shares, “It’s something I didn’t think
was possible as a single parent, but it’s the stability I’ve strived for since my son was born. We’ve
made many great memories over the last five years and a home of our own opens the door to
so many new memories to be made!” As she gains a deeper knowledge of the homebuilding
and homebuying process, she is eager to pass this knowledge on to her son, Josiah and be an
equipped homeowner who can confidently use her learned skills to provide for her family.
