VEERENHUIS, Eric Gerhard September 26, 1965 - July 12, 2018
It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Eric, our partner, our son, our brother, and our uncle.
Eric was born and raised in Saskatoon, SK. He attended Henry Kelsey Public School and Bedford Road Collegiate. Eric started to work in the oil industry at 23 years of age and resided in Medicine Hat for the last 30 years. Eric spent the last few years as a consultant, forming his own company. Eric was stricken with stage 4 cancer in March. He fought a good fight.
Eric is survived by his partner Teryl Van Dooren, his mother Edie, his brothers Michael (Roxann, Alyssa, Danielle Misener [Jordan]) and Devin, his sister Melanie Smith (Todd, Justice, and Jaxon).
He was predeceased by his father, Hank in May of 2017; his uncle, Les Eversen; his aunt, Anna Eversen; his maternal and fraternal grandparents.
There will be a gathering of remembrance on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 4 p.m. for family and friends. This will be held at Mont Nebo Hall, Saskatchewan in the hall. Thank you to the caring staff at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital.
