Timothy A. Amyx

AMYX, TIMOTHY ANDREW Age 57, went to be with his heavenly Father on Monday, June 9, 2014, due to a sudden illness while on a family vacation, surrounded by family. Timothy was born as a twin in Peoria, IL on October 13, 1956 to loving parents, Andy and Marilyn Amyx. Tim was a 1975 graduate of Catholic Central and attended Kendall College and Grand Rapids Community College. He worked for Classic Chevrolet for 20 years and retired early due to medical illness. He married the love of his life, Bonnie Avey, in 1994, who at the time had a six-year-old son, Nathan Avey, whom Tim raised as his own. In 1996, Tim and Bonnie were blessed with a baby girl, Elizabeth Amyx. Tim was a loving husband and father and he loved the Lord. Other survivors include his brother, Daniel (Lara) Amyx and nephew, Justin of Fort Pierce, FL; and twin sister, Cynthia (Jim) Kloster and nephew, Steven of Baton Rouge, LA; and special friends, Jim Wysocki and Steve Wendt. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Tri-Unity Elementary Christian School, 5353 Wilson Avenue SW, Grandville, MI at 2 PM. Food and fellowship to follow service. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Hemophilia Foundation or charity of choice.

Tim was a good friend, both at St. Francis and CC, and for some years after graduation from CC. Too many stories to list here, but great memories.
