Clinton Vail

1982-05-20 2024-01-14

In loving memory of Clint Joseph Vail, we celebrate the life of a wonderful son, devoted father, loyal husband, brother, and friend.

Clint was welcomed home on January 14, 2024, at the age of 41, leaving behind memories that will forever be in the heart and soul of those who love him.

Clint is survived by his wife, Lindsey, his daughters Kaelynn (15), and Holland (12). He is also survived by his mother, Melinda Vail-Goodnight, stepfather Eddie Goodnight, his father, Johnny Vail, stepmother Angela Vail, his two brothers Gregg and wife Megan Vail and Travis and wife Ashlee Vail. His stepbrother, Anthony Milton, his in-laws, Tom and Lu Ann Barkel, his brother and sister-in-law, Kyle, and Chelsey Barkel, six nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins, aunts and uncles who love him dearly.

Clint was born on May 20, 1982, in Elk City, Oklahoma and grew up in North Texas, where he went to school and met his wife, Lindsey. Clint loved sports, was an avid hunter, fisherman and lover of nature. Growing up in Texas, these qualities became second nature. He started playing football at the age of seven and continued playing running back and linebacker in Colleyville, Texas, receiving a scholarship to play south Texas football.

To know Clint was to know the unwavering love of a father. His daughters were the most important thing to him. He instilled in them the values of integrity, discipline, and compassion. He was known for his lovable nature, bear hugs, and countless dad jokes. Clint had a personality that lit up a room, he never met a stranger.

Clint was passionate about giving back. He was known for handing food, water, and money to anyone in need, buying a meal for a service member in line, and encouraging his girls to constantly think of others.

With heavy hearts we grieve the loss of a humble, loving, compassionate soul, and find comfort knowing he is finally at peace in the arms of our Lord and Savior.
