Valerie Jahr Cope, 59, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016. She was born in Fairfax, Virginia, daughter of the late Edgar and Ina Voelker Jahr. She was an interior designer and had a variety of interest including gardening, art and a love for animals. 

She is survived by her husband Chuck Cope, a sister Constance Jahr of Trenton, Florida, brother in law Joe McClellan and wife Deborah of Belmont, sisters in law Freida Charest and husband Dick of York, SC and Gina Cartner and husband Kevin of Denver, NC.
