Ed Valenta
2003-07-27Edward M. Valenta, 46, of Whitney Point, died at his residence Sunday, July 27, 2003 as a result of an accident. He was predeceased by his youngest brother, Theodore Valenta Jr., on August 8, 1989. He is survived by his wife, Nancy B. Valenta, with whom he would have celebrated 25 years of marriage on August 12; four sons, all of whom he loved dearly and was so proud of their accomplishments, Edward M. Valenta, Endicott, Kevin D. Valenta, Binghamton, Colin M. Valenta, and Phillip A. Valenta, both at home; his parents, Theresa J. and Theodore J. Valenta, Fort Myers, Fla.; sisters, Ann Marsh and fiance Mark Sheedy, Pasadena Calif., Carol and Dr. Brian Donoghue, Santa Ana, Calif., Mary Valenta and her husband John Dick, Birmingham, Ala.; brothers, William Valenta, and Robert and Linda Valenta, Fort Myers, Fla., Stephen and Deborah Valenta; his wife's mother, Alice Andrews, Whitney Point; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Debra Yelverton and her husband John Schabowski, San Jose, Calif., Beth and Michael Barker, Cypress, Tex., and Wally and Laurie Yelverton, Endwell; also several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Ed was a devoted family man, president of the Valenta Corporation, owner and proprietor of A-Z Vacuum in Endwell, thoroughly enjoyed the out of door and relished caring for his Windy Acres. He loved playing golf with his sons. We will miss him. He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church, Whitney Point.
