LuAnn Brown
2024-10-08LuAnn Brown, 67, of Whitney Point, New York, formerly of Maine, New York, was born on December 29, 1956. She was the daughter of Robert and Betty Brown. LuAnn passed away on October 8, 2024, while doing what she enjoyed most in life: watching over a grandchild.
LuAnn spent her working career as a teacher’s aide, dental assistant, and health care specialist, but most of all, she balanced all of these roles while being a full-time homemaker.
LuAnn was a naturally beautiful woman, both inside and out. She cherished her time with coworkers and loved going to work, but above all, she prioritized family. You could call her for help or advice at any time, and she would drop everything to assist you. Many years were spent on the sidelines, cheering on her children and grandchildren during their sports events. She was exceptionally skilled at sewing, mending, and ironing, and she would happily take on these tasks for others or teach them how to do it themselves. Her generosity extended to her culinary talents; she could cook and bake anything under the sun, often preparing delicious desserts and dishes to share with her coworkers. A true creator, LuAnn built her own home and adored living there. She had a favorite chair for watching educational television and a massive couch she believed was the best spot for napping in the world. LuAnn was truly loved by everyone who knew her, radiating a unique spark whenever she entered a room.
LuAnn is survived by her loving husband, Mark. LuAnn and Mark spent 50 years together and were days away from celebrating their 49th wedding anniversary. They shared two children together: their daughter, Amy, and their son, Craig. She is also survived by her grandsons Austin (Viv and great-granddaughter Amelia), Connor, Liam, and Tucker; her granddaughters Kasey, Colleen, Ashlin, and Madison; her brothers Mark (Georgia), Rick (Marsha), and Wayne, along with many other relatives.
LuAnn was predeceased by a very special grandson, Gavin, as well as many other relatives.
