Comment: I have basically been in Houston since I left Chicago after graduation.  One year in Louisiana and one in Los Angeles for grad school.  Married to the same woman (a fellow Rice U. grad) for 31 years and living in an old house about three miles from downtown Houston.  I love the big city and serve on its Planning Commission.  As a civil engineer, I have had the chance to design parks, roads, water, wastewater and drainage systems-the things that we take for granted but make for our comfortable lifestyles.  I keep in touch with Riggio and recently reconnected with Laura McMahon who unbeknownst to me has also lived in the Houston area for qauite some time.
