| Comment: Since high school I lived in Hoffman Estates until 1979.  I worked at several different retail outlets (Marshall Fields, Robert Hall Village and Florsheim Shoes).  It was while working at Florsheim Shoes that I was transferred to Rockford, Illinois.  I managed their store until March 1980.  When I left Florsheim I continued to live in Rockford where still am today.  I had several different jobs.  In October 1980 I changed my line of work and went to work in social work working with homeless men women and children at the Rockford Rescue Mission.  I am still there and in 2011 not only will I celebrate 40 years from high school but it will also be my 30th anniversary at the rescue mission.  After high school I went to Harper College and then went to work.  In the mid 80's I continued my education at Rock Valley College in Rockford and have done some online schooling.  The past four years I also managed a halfway house for men.  I still live there now but am not managing.  I will be moving at some time shortly.  Throughout my life I walked with a clubbed left foot.  After several attempts at getting it fixed on October 5th 2006 I went to Mayo Clinic and had my foot straightened.  It has been really great and has helped me much these last few years.  I am not married and have not married but it is not out of the question.  I will supply a picture soon. |
