Charlie Bonafede generally played first base on our New York Dads softball team when we played against the Blues. I recall that the Dads were made up of us guys who lived in Laurel Hollow (West Side school) , whereas the Blues was made up of our Class of 75 friends from the Lloyd Harbor area.

Charlie used to hang with our group of Laurel Hollow neighborhood buds. Always game for pick-up: wiffleball, HORSE, softball, touch F-ball! I especially remember Charlie's quick smile, easy laugh, and stinging,, self-deprecating sense of humor ...that could stop anyone unexpectedly in their tracks!
