Chris Hughes is the Director of Development for Special Olympics New York and the co-founder of The Mr. Mo Project, a senior and special needs dog rescue dedicated to giving overlooked dogs the second chance they deserve. When he’s not raising critical funds for athletes across New York State, Chris can be found coaching the ABC Spartans—an inspiring Special Olympics powerlifting team that fuels his passion for inclusion and empowerment.
Chris and his wife, Mariesa, have been married for 12 years and share their home with 18 senior and special needs dogs. Together, they’ve made it their life’s mission to save dogs who need it most, and Chris is proudly fundraising to support the Mr. Mo Project’s lifesaving work this year.
