Settled in Charlotte, North Carolina 30 years ago, have three daughters and one son and three grandchildren all living in the Charlotte area. Have not been back to Dairen in years and hope to see old friends this coming September. I have a multi-state heavy duty truck parts distribution buisness which keeps me busy but looking forward to some r and r in the years ahead. Update 2016 life continues to change, fully retired in 2015 after selling business. Good thing as it has given Trisha and I more time to travel which we love. We know have 5 granddaughters and another grandchild due this June. Look forward to our next reunion and seeing old friends, 50 years where has the time gone. Sixth granddaughter born last year and we have another one one the way due January 2018. |

I saw so many bios I had to add something. After high school there were two years of college then four years of the navy. After that I became a professional student. I married while in the navy in '72 and managed to live in California, Colorado and Indiana. I have twin boys who both graduated from Valparaiso University in Indiana. We have been in Valparaiso for the past 20+ years. I am a high school Special education teacher and Sandy is a professor in the Business school at Valparaiso University. I'm retired now. Now living in florida since 2014 |

Life as I know it now! Well I will start at the beginning. Graduated with all of you and was married in 1972. We lived in New Canaan til 1978 than moved to La Costa, Ca. My brother Jay or Jim as some knew was killed in a car accident the year we were married 1976. After my mother died in 1978 we moved to California. Today I have 2 daughters. Ashley Elizabeth 35 and Whitney Jane 26. I am blessed to have children. I had a long and loving marriage to a man older than me by 16 years. He had 3 children , whom I remain close to today. Bob {my husband} had a life altering storke in 1998, which forever changed the word marrige. I now was captain of the ship, caretaker, head of the house. He was a very loving, positive, man. In 2009 he died at the age of 76. I now am beginning to live again and learning to find Diane. Currently I have many life challenges with the job market and the tough real estate market in California. I choose to stay on the sunny side of the street with the belief that God and good prevails. Everyday a person can decide how they see life. I am thankful for my great health, my children and the love of great family and friends. As my husband would have said "It's Not Latitude, It's Attitude." It's A Super Life! Diane |

Hello - I live on an island in the San Juan Island area of NW Washington. I bought the oldest house on the island 10 years after graduation from Darien and restored it to look like an east coast beach house, it turns out, with my sweet partner, Penny. I was a builder for many years, after being a corporate and black & white photographer, traveller in my VW vans, and manager for an international power supply company. I have two lovely daughters and their families including two grandsons. I spend summers sailing, on our Boston Whaler, wooden row boat, and kayaks, and winters (this last one) in the Azores with my newly discovered family cousins. If any of you are in the area and would like to go for a sail or just sit on a restful Pacific Northwest beach, get in touch. Steven |

So much has happened since the 45th reunion. Got married, got divorced. Wrote two Iconic Books about South Carolina History, lost my right leg below my knee, walked two 5k races, and a third coming in May. Checked off one of my bucket list items as I got to throw out the first pitch at our Double A, Chicago Cubs affiliate, the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. Working on my third, and last Iconic Book about yet another piece of North Myrtle Beach History. I think we, my significant other, Joyce and I will try to be coming in sometime Thursday night. I hope to see my kids sometime Friday afternoon, and attend the festivities on Friday night. I felt it fitting to use the pic of me kicking an extra point as "then" and me throwing out the first pitch last year as "now" After two years off, I am back to coaching Soccer. I am helping out our local YMCA and coaching a U-10 Girls team. Seems like that is where I started 37 years ago. I am so looking forward to seeing everyone and hope we get a great turn out. Bob Radocy and I used to go sledding down the hills at Weeburn when we couldn't get on Woodway. Been communicating with Duff now and again and still don't know where Vos is, other than he is somewhere here in SC. Love it here, the sun, the beach, the entertainment, it is quite the place to live. See you all soon, Howie (No more toe, but still "THE TOE") |

Wow...it's been a few years. It was fun reading what you all have been up to-all in all sounds as if life has been pretty good to most of us. Looks like the reunion was fun-Pat Lillis invited me to the 45th-so I hope to make that in 4 years. I have a great life-a wonderful wife who deserves much better, 2 great boys and their families-life is good. As much as I love what I do here in the US practicing law, my real passions are a trust in the Laikipiak area of Kenya and sailing. I don't seem to get enough time to do either to the extent I'd like-but they are fun and rewarding. We live on a small "farmette" outside Saratoga Springs in upstate NY. I finally ended my foray into thoroughbreds-we bred and raced a number before I awoke to the economic insanity I had created-but it was fun while it lasted. Chris Orrick came up for a week last year-it was great to see him. We have a lot of space and spare bedrooms and if anyone is in the area feel free to stop in and grab an empty bedroom. Here is a link to the trust in Kenya-please visit and if you can't help, perhaps you know someone who can. www.loisabaccf.org. I've conned Gary Barker into helping out at a dental clinic in February and we plan on getting together in Maasai Mara as I will be nearby at the same time. I'll post pictures of Barker for you when I return. I get the feeling he really doesn't know what he's in for! Photo: Gary Barker and Jim Towne, in Kenya. |
