Comment: A quick update: Over the years, I have lived in CA, England, New Haven, Panama, Switzerland, CA again and now Washington DC. I am lucky to be paid for what I love doing, which is studying the ocean.  I wrote a popular book entitled Citizens of the Sea which was a lot of fun and still selling after two years.  My daughter is 26, my husband of almost 30 years is a scientist too, and thanks to his son I am a step-grandmother.  Recently we bought a house on the coast of Maine and as a result I am finally tempted to "retire".  Can it really be 45 years??

Comment: Hello, everyone. After high school I went to Boston College and then did graduate work at the Univ. of Maryland where I met my wife Karen. After school we moved to New Jersey and worked for 5 years in New York City where I recall running into Larry Magnant in the subway! After our first daughter (3 daughters in all) was born we decided to move closer to the grandparents which were either back in Washington DC or in the Chicago area. The Chicago offer came through first and I've been here in Illinois outside of Chicago for the last 28 years. My job gave me the opporuntiy to travel throughout the US as well as Asia and Europe and on a couple of my trips back East I took a spin by DHS for old-times sake. I just recently retired and I'm looking forward to connecting with people again at the reunion.

SINCE MY LAST UPDATE ALOT HAS CHANGED ,THIS SPRING I SOLD MY HOUSE IN MAINE , AND MOVED TO FLORDIA IN JULY THIS YEAR 2014 , I PURCHASED A HOUSE IN WEST PALM BEACH , THE LIFE HERE IS VERY DIFFERENT THEN IT IS IN MAINE . GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE AND STOP BY!

​LET SEE i AM SORRY I MISSES THE THE 50 REUNION BUT MY OBLIGATIONS KEPT ME HERE , THIS FALL 2017 I WILL BE STEPPING DOWN AS COMMANDER AND HIGH PRIEST SO THAT IT WILL FREE UP SO TIME . THIS NEXT YEAR 2018 SUMMER I WILL BE TRAVELING TO MAINE TO SEE FRIEND AND FAMILY AND WILL BE STOPPING IN DARIEN .IF ANYONE  IS AROUND THEN LET ME KNOW !

Just finished up my 21st year on the local public school board in a growing, very respected school district, involved in statewide public education advocacy. I've had a tiny trailer for 2 years now and have done thousands of miles and many national, provincial, and state parks. Love traveling with my adult children, all over the world. Active in progressive politics.

Comment: Janet (Holmberg, Darien class of 68) and I have returned to Connecticut (Madison) after years in NY, PA and WI. My major interest now is writing ... having done a number of short stories am now on that long delayed novel.  I am serving part-time as executive presbyter for the Presbytery of Southern New England covering CT, MA, and RI. Can't believe I am closing in on retirement!  Our 3 children live in PA, MN, and Palestinel.
