Children: | 5 |
Occupation: | Special Education |
Biography/Comment (What have you been doing for the last 50 years?): | Fifty years and counting myself blessed with a good husband, five fantastic children and seven delightful grandchildren at the heart of our abundance. I've been blessed with lots of opportunities for growth over the years. Many are found through church service, Special Education, life coaching, family businesses in health/fitness and restaurant/catering. Just striving to be useful. Retiring from full-time employment--Spec Ed in May 2023. Gratefully, I'm enjoying good health that allows me to dig in my garden and chase away deer. An added bonus came our way last year in helping raise a newborn grandson. Joy is ours in our Centerville cottage! |
Judy Courreges (Hutchinson)

Children: | 6 |
Occupation: | Sales |
Biography/Comment (What have you been doing for the last 50 years?): | I went to BYU for about a year and a half, met and married a guy from Texas. We lived in Texas for a short time, moved to Kaysville where our first child, a boy, was born in Bountiful. We only lived there about a year then moved back to Texas. Two more children were born there, a boy then a girl. In 1981 we moved to Breaux Bridge, LA where two more children were born, a boy then a girl. In 1984 we moved across the Mississippi to St. Amant, LA (about 25 miles southeast of Baton Rouge) where our last child, a girl, was born. Unfortunately, our marriage ended up falling apart, and my ex-husband took his life in 2008. I have been taking care of myself and my family, until they grew up and left home, for over 20 years now. In 2020 my second son passed away of sepsis. Life has been hard, but all of my trials have made me stronger and made me appreciate all the blessings in my life. I love my children, my 16 grandchildren, and my 1 great-grandchild. I am thankful the Lord has always watched over me. |
Allen Crookston

Marital status: | Married |

Children: | 5 |
Occupation: | Software Engineer |
Biography/Comment (What have you been doing for the last 50 years?): | I've been getting older and more substantial (fat can be such an ugly description) for the past 50 years. I found Sherry, my love and the amazing mother of my children, in Florida while I was in the Air Force. She's the anchor of my life. After having 4 wonderful boys, we finally got a baby girl and called it a family. They've given us 14 grandchildren, so far. My career has changed from mechanic to weapons mechanic in the Air Force to an accountant, software engineer, software business owner, and project manager. And, there's still time to try something new! |
I. Susan Davis (Daily)

Marital status: | Married |
---|---|
Children: | 2 |
Occupation: | Retired Educator |
Biography/Comment (What have you been doing for the last 50 years?): | After graduating high school, some of you may remember that I moved to Southern California. My parents choices for me were UC or University of Istanbul as my dad was going to be working in Turkey. I chose wisely. I graduated from UC Riverside with my completed Bachelors, graduate school and my Mrs.!! I married wisely too… a “Davis” named Paul! Who knew?? We have been married 48 years. We have 2 children and one grandson and a 2nd grandchild on the way. I feel overwhelmingly blessed. My daughter is pregnant and has a 2 year old little boy. She went to UCR as well but now works at UC San Diego in the school of Global Affairs and International Policy. My son -as so many sons do… went away to school in Northern California and then his PhD in Wildlife from Texas A&M on Galveston Island. And, like so many college grads, he works in a completely different field. He is the director of operations for emergency services on Galveston Island. So, at least we have one of our children close. I really envy so many of you who have your children surrounding you right where you live! What an incredible blessing! My husband and I recently retired. I retired from Riverside Unified School District and my husband retired as the supervisor of environmental services for the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks. So, we are also grateful for escaping our jobs just as the pandemic arrived. Tough jobs to do in a pandemic. Retirement agrees with us. We would have loved it more without a pandemic but we are beginning to re-emerge to do the things we thought we would be doing…traveling. We got in one good trip to Africa before it all fell apart. But not much else. Northern California… Texas, Alaska. So now we are excited for this reunion and a trip to Carlsbad Caverns and whatever else we can throw in. I must really say though, so much of my life was built on a trajectory that was established by the amazing education and experiences I received at Dear Ole Davis High!! See you soon! |
Eileen DeLeeuw (Richards)

Marital status: | Widowed |

Children: | 5 |
Occupation: | Grandma, (Retired) Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist |
Biography/Comment (What have you been doing for the last 50 years?): | I have been blessed and challenged and learned so much! I graduated with my BS from BYU :) in medical dietetics in 1976 and then was privileged to serve as a "health missionary" for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the villages of Western Samoa. I received my masters degree in diabetes care and education (before we really knew what we were talking about) from USU in 1981. I married Wayne DeLeeuw from Salt Lake in 1981 and we were blessed with 5 children. We lived in Logan and then Erda and Tooele, all in Utah. In 2016 Wayne was diagnosed with early Alzheimers and we sold our home and finished our Daughter's family's basement in Willard, Ut where we have been blessed to live very near them. Wayne passed away last November and I am figuring things out. It is so fun to find and talk to so many of you---you really did turn out to be incredible human beings. |

Lorri Fluckiger (Warren)
Marital status: | Widowed |
---|---|
Children: | 7 |
Occupation: | Retired |
Biography/Comment (What have you been doing for the last 50 years?): | I raised 7 kids with much delight. I worked in husbands jewelry store and then I worked for JCPenneys as a supervisor of the fine jewelry dept. for 5 years. Between camping trips and scout auramas, my husband and I worked for 2 years back east doing one day jewelry shows where we worked for 3 weeks then went home for one week. During one trip home , Ken had a massive heart attack. He would never work again. The rest of my story is working different places and taking care of the multiple ailments Ken developed as the years went on. He was such a hard worker and he always got enough better that we could go on with life. In December 2022 he didn’t get better and died quite suddenly. I was truly shocked. I quess I am recovering and will be ok, it takes time and accepting the final event. |
