Occupation: | Resort-wear Production Assistant |
Biography/Comment (What have you been doing for the last 50 years?): | I joined the army out of high school and went to Europe. I was an aircraft dispatcher, and I spent the next 3 1/2 years in Germany and was able to go see my birthplace in Landstuhl Germany. I met my Hawaiian husband in Germany and then we moved to Hawaii when we got out of the service in 1977. I lived in Hauula/Laie Hawaii for five years and then moved to the big island for 16 years. We owned an automotive repair shop and painted cars. Our first daughter was born in Germany. Second daughter was born in Kahuku Oahu. And our son was born in Kailua Oahu. I have 10 grandchildren and was just informed that my first great grandchild is due this October. We were divorced after 17 years of marriage. I spent most of my working career in the local manufacturing sector. I was responsible for ordering the fabric from Japan and making sure it came in in time to produce in Hawaii to ship to our many stores here in Hawaii and wholesale customers on the mainland Germany and Japan. I was in charge of the shipping department for many years and then moved into the production part of the company. I have worked for two local manufacturing companies for the past 38 years. And lived in Hawaii for the past 46 years. I was the relief Society president for six years in my ward and currently I’m serving as the ministering secretary. Every Christmas we have a Christmas concert at the tabernacle the weekend before Christmas where we have an adult choir, youth choir, children’s choir and an orchestra, it is my favorite time of year. Sorry, my before picture was not my high school picture. Couldn’t figure out how to delete it. Lol but it is a picture of me many years ago. I would very much like to see many of you in June. However, I am not yet sure if I’m going to be able to make it. I hope it will be a great one for those who are able to go. Aloha! |

Biography/Comment (What have you been doing for the last 50 years?): | Attending a granddaughters’ graduation ceremony this past week reinforced that it has been a long 50 years since we graduated from Davis. It was a nice ceremony, and the only thing that would have made her graduation better is if it had been a Davis High ceremony! After graduating I attended Weber State and then served a mission for the LDS church in Paris, France. This started a love affair with France, its sights, sounds, people and beauty. Upon returning from France a different type of love was solemnized as I married Julie Wassom, Julie was a member of the Davis class of 1976. Julie and I had four wonderful children, three daughters and one son, raising them in south Davis County, 33 years of which were in Centerville. At the age of 51 Julie was diagnosed with a rare form of Alzheimer’s, Posterior Cortical Atrophy. It was heartbreaking as our family saw a vibrant, loving, extraordinary mother slowly deteriorate. Julie passed away at the age of 59 on January the 5th, 2018 in our home surrounded by our children and me. I spent 30+ years managing the real estate part of the Maverik convenience store chain, designing and developing stores in 10 western states. Stars aligned in 2014 and I retired from Maverik to pursue real estate developments on my own and to spend more time with Julie. While I call myself retired, I still manage and develop a few properties. It’s also a fun opportunity to work with my son who is a local architect. In 2018 I remarried, marrying Suzanne Kennard (Lyman) another Davis High class of 1976 graduate and long-time family friend. Adding to my 4 kids and 12 grandkids we have Suzanne’s two kids and six grandkids. In addition to 18 grandkids, I also have one great granddaughter, that’s right, I’m old, I am a great grandfather. Suzanne and I now live in Farmington. We love sports, eBikes, travel and St. George. We spend a fair bit of time in St. George where we have a home. I also have a Pickleball addiction which I feed several times a week, often partnering with fellow Davis Alum Mark Brown! I’m hoping to work more golf into the equation, between supporting grandkids at their activities and our too numerous activities! Life is good, we are very blessed. |

Occupation: | Grandma |
Biography/Comment (What have you been doing for the last 50 years?): | What a wonderful 50 years it's been. I went to BYU for 2 years and then I got engaged to Ken Page so I moved out to Colorado Springs so we could be near each other for his last 2 years. I got a job at the Academy and enjoyed that a lot. Ken and I were married 2 days after graduation and started our grand adventure with his career in the Air Force. We lived in New York, Virginia, Florida, Alabama, Maryland, Washington and New Mexico until 2010 and then moved back to Kaysville where we are enjoying retired life and being close to many of our children and grandchildren. We have raised 5 amazing kids and they have given us 17 precious grandchildren. Ken and I served a Military relations mission to Hill AFB and loved it. Now we are interfaith liaisons between Salt Lake and the base and enjoy staying connected with military families. We are enjoying traveling, pickleball and spending time with the kids around here. I have enjoyed keeping up with many of you through Facebook and this website and can't wait to see you at the reunion. |

Occupation: | Retired graphic artist |
Biography/Comment (What have you been doing for the last 50 years?): | 1973–83 •Studied at Ricks College and the University of Utah and worked lots of part time jobs and discovered lots of things I didn’t want to do when I grew up. •Served in the Switzerland Geneva Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. •Moved to the California Bay area and started to discover things I wouldn’t mind doing as a grown up—designed advertising for a small weekly newspaper in Portolla Valley, did printing production for Sunset Magazine and studied handweaving. 1983–93 •Moved back to Utah and finished a bachelors degree in Art History at BYU (there’s no escaping the influence of Mrs. Beattie). •Started what would be my career working for the Church as a graphic artist managing the production of the international magazines. 1993–2003 •Met and married Lincoln Peters who brought his 3 adult children and eventually 8 grandchildren and 17 (with more to come) great grands into my life. •Moved with him to a small farm in Bluffdale where we’ve raised goats, llamas, quail, steer, geese, always chickens and dogs and now canaries. 2003–2023 •More of the same with 7 trips to Chile thrown in to visit Lincoln’s family and friends. (If you’re thinking of taking a trip to Chile, I would love to tell you some beautiful places to see.) •Retired after 32 years of doing work I loved, to help my mother who passed away in February of this year at age 97. I’m now trying to get my life organized while figuring out how to fit into Lincoln’s retired life and find out if handweaving is still something I love. |
