Dean Alan Hess, 19, of 76 S. 760 E., was killed in an automobile accident Wednesday near Eugene, Ore. He was born June 7, 1955, in San Diego, Calif., a son of Earl E. and Ann Malan Hess. He had lived in Kaysville for the past 13 years and graduated from Davis High School in 1973. He had been a member of the Davis High School wrestling team and participated in the state wrestling contest.
Dean was a student at the University of Utah and was a priest in the Kaysville 9th LDS Ward. Surviving are his parents of Kaysville; one brother and three sisters, Guy Hess, Miss DeAnn Hess, Miss Jill Hess, Miss Lisa Hess, all of Kaysville. Also surviving are his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. David C. Malan, Kaysville; Mrs. Eleanor U. Hess, Farmington.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the Kaysville LDS Stake Center, 201 S. 600 E., Bishop
Rodney W. Felt of the Kaysville 9th Ward officiating. Friends may call at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 340 N. Main, Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. and at the stake center Monday from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
Burial will be in the Kaysville - Layton Memorial Park.
