Shauna Hess Sowles, 49, of Fairview Heights, Ill., formerly of Kaysville, Utah, born Sunday, July 10, 1955, in Utah, died Sunday, July 18, 2004 in Brigham City, Utah, after a short battle with cancer.
Mrs. Sowles was a marketing analyst for the 375 Service Squadron at Scott Air Force Base and was a member of the LDS Church, Fairview Heights, Ill.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Marih Collet; and a brother, Larry Hess. Surviving are her husband, Scott Sowles of Fairview Heights; two stepchildren, Steve Sowles Jr. of Fairview Heights, and Samantha Sowles of Colorado Springs, Colo; three brothers, Brad (Cindy) Hess of University Park, MD., Jim (Cindy) Hess of Fremont, Calif., and Bob (Lisa) Hess of Bountiful, Utah; two sisters, Kathy (Clyde) Williams of Sandy, Utah, and Louenda (Vance) Downs of Layton, Utah; and a sister-in-law, Kris (Tom) Adams of Preston, Idaho.
Funeral services were held Thursday, July 22, 2004, at Forrest Hill Chapel, Brigham City, Utah. Burial was in the Brigham City Cemetery.
