Mark John Ostler passed away on August 24, 2013. He was born to Lynn Baker and Connie Rosenlund Ostler on May 28, 1955. He has lived in Kaysville since 1960. He graduated from Davis High School in 1973 and married Jill Keller in 1978. They later divorced.
Mark loved the outdoors and felt at peace in the mountains. He loved his work as a master finish carpenter and did excellent work. He was an expert snow skier. He was a real charmer and had lots of friends, was an easy going person, very friendly, and was happy and fun to be around. He liked to hike in places untraveled by men. Mark believed in Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his father, Lynn; daughters, Audrey (Mark) Walkenhorst, Melanie Ostler; grandson, Grayson, and a granddaughter on the way; sisters, Suzanne Warnock, Colleen (Jay) Yates; brothers, David Ostler, and Paul Ostler. He was preceded in death by his mother, Connie and brother, Craig.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Kaysville City Cemetery, 500 East Crestwood Drive. Family and friends may gather at Myers Mortuary, 250 North Fairfield Road, Layton, from 11: 30-1: 30 p.m. prior to services.
