Anne Rushforth Russell, 40, passed away August 20, 1995 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born December 29, 1954 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a daughter of Knewel Howard and June Nelson Rushforth. She married Keith Read Russell, December 17, 1976 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was a lifelong resident of the Kaysville-Layton area. She graduated from Davis High School in 1973 and received a Bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Utah in 1977. She was an active member of the LDS Church, Summerhaze Ward, Layton, Holmes Creek Stake, and served in many capacities including Young Women's advisor and Relief Society instructor.
Anne loved to read. She had an acute mind and received great joy from her pursuit of knowledge. She loved and accepted her family and friends unconditionally. She had the ability to listen and offer counsel and compassion without judgement. Her family and friends will miss her terribly.
Surviving are her husband, Keith; and two daughters, Ashlee Anne and Erin June Russell, all of Layton; four brothers and one sister, Craig K. Rushforth, Kaysville; Brent N. Rushforth, Potomac, Maryland; Samuel R. Rushforth, Orem; E. Scott Rushforth, Las Cruces, New Mexico; Jane Rushforth, Ogden. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 24, 1995, 11 a.m, at the Summerhaze LDS Ward, 1410 East Gentile, Layton. Family and friends may call Wednesday, from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main, and at the church, Thursday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
