two wonderful grown daughters, my wife I’ve known and love for over 49yrs. (she kept me out of jail).

I live in one of the most beautiful areas of the world. Oh, one more love of my life,

my HOG. What more can I ask for. Life has its ups and downs but I appreciate each and

every day.

Hope to connect and walk away hearing about your past 50yrs.

Marital status: Married
Occupation: Publisher; Arts Administration
Comment: After graduating from U.C. Berkeley with a degree in Communication and Public Policy, I moved to Cambridge, Massachusetts, to complete the Radcliffe Publishing Program at Harvard University.  In 1979, after working at a Boston publishing house for a period of time, I accepted a position as Publisher of two subsidiaries of Harcourt Brace Jovanovich Publishers in New York City.  I went on to be the Director of Operations for a book development house.  In 1996, I founded a publishing house that specialized in children's picture books.  In November of 2002, I was elected to represent all of the small and independent publishers in America on the Board of Directors of the Association of American Publishers.  Re-elected, I continued to serve on the Board until March 2011, when I retired from a long and happy career in publishing.

"Retirement" began by going back to school (New York University) to study arts administration and museum management.  Then, in 2016, after living in Manhattan for thirty-seven years, I moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico.  My time here in Santa Fe includes volunteer work at a local foundation that has a large collection of Native American art.

It seems hard to believe that fifty years have gone by since we all sat in class together at Del Valle.

Best wishes to everyone!

Comment: Well, 50 years since graduation?! Hard to believe but my life has been full. I hope to attend the reunion and look forward to sharing stories and reconnecting.

My “then” photo is from about 1984 but looks more like I did in 1968 than how I look now haha

Comment: Shari, thanks for your wonderful efforts in spearheading this website.  It was great to catch up on so many classmates after 40 years of spinning on the globe!  Del Valle was an important part of my life, and I still have wonderful memories of the time we spent together there.  Unfortunately, I will unable to attend the reunion, but I will be thinking of all of you.
