Comment:
After I got out of high school, I went to DVC for two years. I got married and had a son and then got divorced 9 years later. I was remarried for 20 years and my husband died 11 years ago and my son died 7 years ago. I am blessed to have 2 step children, 5 grandchildren and 4 greatgrandchildren. I have worked at John Muir Hospital, Walnut Creek for 32 years, as a Unit Secretary on the oncology unit. My hobby is going to garage sales every weekend. I also enjoy fishing and being with my friends. Sue wrote this for our 40th reunion. She passed away April 23, 2010. See "In Memory Of" for details. D.M. |

Occupation: | broker, photographer |
Comment: Well after college and a chemistry degree I got into business and moved to a samll town in the Valley south of Sacramento where my husband and I ran a real estate brokerage and involved ourselves in town life. I lost him almost 5 years ago, and still live in the same house in the country and am still in business here. Still love to camp, ski , kayak, golf and ride my motorcycle. My volunteer career has included lobbying at the Capitol and running the Boys & Girls Club and Chamber of Commerce. No kids, terrific series of cats. Travel has included Europe and Kenya/Tanzania; love to do photography on the prowl. |

Occupation: | Retired Visual Merchandiser/Floral Designer (flower child :) |
Comment:
I retired in March 2018 working as the visual merchandiser/floral designer at Beverly's Fabrics and Crafts. (The store going out of business made my mind up for me to retire!) I've been married for 39 years and have three children. My daughters, Laura and Mira, both work as veterinary technicians. Laura lives in Monterey and works in Pacific Grove and Mira lives in Pleasant Hill and works in Concord. My son, Michael lives is in Sacramento and works for Broadway Sacramento - California Musical Threater. We bought a motorhome two years ago and have enjoyed many road trips, the highlight being to Idaho last year to see the Total Solar Eclipse. Absolutely breathtaking! A truly cosmic experience! We look forward to many more adventures. Our honeymoon was spent visiting seven national parks, so we've come back to where it all began! |

We left CA in 1980 to live in Colorado Springs, CO, where we still reside, in the minority of Democrats. I taught Special Ed. and did vocational education coordination at the US Air Force Academy High school from 1987-2008. We have one son, age 33, who works at the National Renewable Energy Lain Goldrn, CO.. He married Catrin Pedersen, a NICU nurse Sept. 2021 and they are expecting a baby May 2023 and live in Lakewood, CO. He inherited his love of traveling from us. Our retirement years are spent traveling overseas, hiking, doing scholarship fundraising for American Association of University Women, political activism with League of Women Voters, and Friendship Bridge overseas Microloan programs. Our goal is to keep moving one foot in front of the other for as long as possible! |

Occupation: | Engineer |
Comment:
We have worked at the same engineering consulting company for over 25 years and don’t plan to retire any time soon because we love our work and the people we work with. The year 2010 was a year of celebration (our 40th Anniversary and trip to Prague) as well as profound loss. Our daughter, Kristin, died at the age of 35 from congestive heart failure. Though we knew from birth that she had this challenge, she lived a full and happy life until her passing. She left behind her husband, Jake, and two precious grandsons who fill our lives with such fun, happiness and gratitude to her. Our daughter, Katie, continues to enjoy working as a Wine Marketing Manager and lives in the City while commuting to Napa. Dave still loves cars and working in our beautiful yard and I enjoy entertaining in our home and spending time with our grandsons whenever we can. We are so thankful to God for our blessings and his loving support during the hard times. |
