Mr. Roderick D. Fludd 48, born December 14, 1972, to Mr.& Mrs. Roderick and Peggy Fludd Sr. in Deland Fl. 

Rod Fludd, an Educator and Guidance Counselor for the Fulton County School system for over 20 years transitioned into eternity on Thursday, August 5, 2021. 

Obituary 

Sunrise Roderick D Fludd, affectionally known as “Boo” was born December 14, 1972, He was the 1st child of Roderick and Peggy Fludd, Maternal grandparents Marshall and Dorothy Williams (preceded in death) fraternal grandparents, Johnny and Bertie Fludd (preceded in death). Rod was introduced to Christ at a young age at Royal Temple Free Methodist Church, Deland Florida. Rod attended Volusia county public schools and graduated from Deland High School class of 1990. He went on to his beloved Bethune - Cookman University. “HAIL WILDCATS!” (in his voice) He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History/Criminal Justice. Rod was a veteran educator with over 20 years of classroom and administrative experience. He has work with both middle and high school students. Rod held education and the academic process dear to his heart. June 11, 2005 Rod married the love of his life Sherri Newton Fludd, from that union 2 beautiful children were born, Kennedy and Trey Fludd. They were the apples of his eye. He went on to obtain other higher education degrees at Nova Southeastern University, Master of Social Science specializing in education, and the University of West Georgia, Master of Arts specializing in school counselling and educational leadership. Rod loved a great debate! He could often be heard debating, colleague’s family, friends and students. He enjoyed reading, spending time with family, traveling, watching and debating sports. His favorite teams were FSU Seminoles, Miami Dolphins, Orlando Magic, and he was a HUGE LeBron James fan. Sunset Rod transitioned into eternity Thursday, August 5, 2021 in Atlanta, Ga. He leaves to cherish his memory, His loving wife, Sherri Fludd Atlanta, Ga., daughter Kennedy Fludd, son Roderick J. Fludd, Parents Mr. & Mrs. Roderick and Peggy Fludd, brother Demond T. Fludd Sr. Nephews Demond Fludd, T Fludd Jr, Desean Fludd, Kentrell Taylor, nieces Janylah Fludd, Keona Taylor, Brother in law Jimmy Smiley, Eric Newton (Nicole) sisters-in-law Tonya Griffin (Teddy) ,Yulander Newton (Shawn) Uncle Anthony Brinson, Aunts Barbara Burrell, Clorinda Williams, Dorothy Brinson Ollie Fludd, and a host of sorrowing cousins and friends.
