Funeral service for David Stokes, 33, who died in Orlando Saturday, May 7, 2005, will be 1 p.m. Friday, May 13,at Carpenter Curry Funeral Home Chapel, Deland. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 11 a.m. until service time. David was born in Tampa and worked as a plumber for Superior Plumbing in Palm Coast. Survivors include his wife of six years, Melissa; three sons, Cody and Dustin Stokes, Paisley, and Ryan Stokes, Orange City; mother, Susan Brady, DeLand; two brothers, Mjchael Stokes, Deltona, and Paul Slokes, DeLand; three sisters, Julie Davis, Connecticut, and Lisa and Hannah Brady, both of DeLand; mother-in law and father-in-law, Gail and George Gillis, DeLand; sister-inlaw and brother-in-law, Amy and Tony Gillis, Paisley; grandfather, John Brewton, Tampa; uncle, Raymond Stokes, Tampa; and two nieces. Arrangements are entrusted to Carpenter Curry Funeral Home.
