2022-03-15Stephanie Bowden Obituary
On Tuesday, March 15, 2022, Stephanie Michelle Bowden, 50, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, unexpectedly passed away. Her untimely death has left her loved ones shocked at the unfairness that extinguished her light from the world so suddenly. A celebration of life will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday, March 27, at the Nice N Easy Oyster Bar & Grille in Orange City.
Stephanie was born Aug. 30, 1971, in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, to Steve Bowden and Margaret Stone Golden.
The youngest of four children, she served as a home health aide, providing comfort for those needing her care.
Stephanie truly lived life to the fullest and was happiest when spending time with her family, socializing with friends, cruising on a motorcycle, soaking up the sun at the beach, decorating herself with a new tattoo, devouring chocolate, and loving on her dog, Cutie Pie.
Stephanie was preceded in death by her father, Steve Bowden, mother Margaret Stone Golden, and daughter Madison Umont. She is survived by her children Taylor James Umont Sr. and Savannah Umont (Craig Anderson); her grandchildren, Taylor James Umont Jr., and Peyton and Blair Anderson; her brothers, Edward Short (Hope) and Chuck Coleman; sister Suzie Mott (Mike); and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A free and confident spirit, Stephanie paid no attention to the opinions of others.
She loved to dance and laugh, and had a vibrant personality and a creative mind. She left behind fond memories.
Stephanie was always late despite the occasion, but like a shooting star, this time she is gone too soon.
