Sherry was a loving person who cared about others before herself, even at the end of her life. She was diagnosed with cancer in January, suffered four strokes in February, but as always throughout her life she would fight back when life knocked her down. She always had a smile for everyone. She believed in giving others second chances, and March 1, 2002 she gave Michael another one as they remarried in Las Vegas.
She enjoyed traveling, antiques, collecting coffee & tea pots, and Shirley Temple memorabilia. She liked to play the slots, especially at Prairie Meadows. She often teased them about changing their name to Sherry Meadows. She was a fan of NASCAR and dirt track racing, with Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and her husband being her favorite drivers. She liked spending time with her family and friends, and loving her granddaughter, Taylor.
Sherry was preceded in death by her grandparents, father, an infant daughter, Shannon, and on September 13, 2002 she was preceded by her son Clinton.
She is survived by her husband Michael "Wombat" daughter Alicia, and granddaughter Taylor Lynn Finck all of DeSoto, her mother Toshiko and brother Carl (Julie) of Renton, WA, sisters Kim (Gene) Pogue and Carol (Greg) Page both of Des Moines, mother and father in law Lee and Charles Walrod of West Des Moines, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends she loved dearly.
