What can one say about John that can possibly do him honor? His early departure from this world was an intense yet beautiful gift to us youngsters, forever teaching us that life is not a given, and it can end for even the best of us. John truly was the just that. He was always on my “must come” list for my birthdays during the Loma Vista years. John’s genuine and loving friendship will forever live in my heart. I still have dreams of just hanging with John, even though he and I know it’s only for a brief visit. Some day my friend, we’ll have more time to talk and laugh.
