Jesus Enrico Quiroz "Rico", 48, went to the Lord, on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Valley Baptist Medical Center, in Brownsville, Texas.

Born in San Benito, Texas. Graduated from Harlingen High School in 1982 with an associate's degree from UTPA in Medical Technology and owned a Pest Control Business.

He was preceded in death by his father Jesus R. Quiroz & his uncle Johnny Quiroz. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Maribel Quiroz, his children Bianca Villarreal (Eric), Krista, Aliah, Jeq, and Jovahn M. Quiroz, grandkids Ty & Skye, mother Marie B. Quiroz, sisters Gina Rodriguez, Deli Quiroz, niece Trinity Hernandez, and numerous aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, Godchildren.

Rico was a longtime board member, volunteer & coach at East Brownsville Little League. He was an active member at Holy Family Catholic Church, avid fisherman, hunter, and DIEHARD Dallas Cowboy true blue fan. He enjoyed playing Santa Claus for 24 years at Cromack, Canales, and Longoria Elementary. He was an entertainer at heart, king of the grill, and devoted family man, and "papa" to many. Rico left a void that can never be filled and will be missed by many.

Serving as pallbearers will be Orlando Flores, Tony Flores, Dr. Jorge Flores, Albert Rocha, Cesar Rocha, Jesse Martinez, Hector Almanza, and Mario Arroyo. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Arroyo, Raul Zamarripa, and Rene Contreras.

Visitation will be held from 1 pm to 9 pm with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 pm at Holy Family Catholic Church at 2308 E. Tyler in Brownsville, Texas on April 16, 2012.

A Mass will be celebrated at 2 pm at Holy Family Catholic Church at 2308 E. Tyler in Brownsville, Texas on April 17, 2012, with committal service to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
