Comment:
My wife Maggie and I have been married 45 years. We have learned God is good during happy and difficult situations, and that He has our best in mind. We have retired in Walker on Leech Lake. We purchased a cabin 11 years ago and have worked on it every year. It is now winterized and remodeled and had a large front window with a million dollar view.

One unusual family tree trait is my mom and Dad had two boys and a girl, Maggie and I had two boys and a girl, and my three children had two boys and a girl, all in the same order! We have ten grandchildren, but lost our grandson, Grant, to brain cancer at the age of seven (two years ago). This was the most difficult thing I ever has to go through. I know I will see him again. At age five he knelt down by his bed with his dad and asked Jesus into his life, an event my son and us will never forget. God is there during the difficult times.

I stay active officiating and umpiring for the Minnesota High School League schools and also play softball for the Senior Bemidji Traveling Team. My bride sows for the grandchildren and I take them golfing - not a bad deal!
