After graduation, I got lucky and didn't get drafted even with a 25 number in the lottery.  Got married in 1975 and still married to the same gal.  Went to Idaho State where I receive a Bachelors degree in Music Education.  Then moved to Texas, where I received a Masters in Music Education.  Spent two years teaching band and decided it wasn't for me.  Didn't have a flare for teching and turns out I don't like kids that much, at least not 8 hours a day.  I then spent 20 years in the Army, retiring in 2002 as an LTC.  Received another Master’s Degree in Telecommunications while in the Army.  Spent the next 20 years managing network operations centers for Department of Defense.  Retired in Oct of 2020.  I have two children and four grandchildren.  Been living in Hawaii since 1998.  We have been traveling and volunteering since retirment.  Our health isn't bad.  Would have taken better care of myself if I'd known I would live this long, LOL.    

So much has changed in all of our lives and especially in mine over the last 5 years.  I retired from almost 35 years in hospitality management on September 01, 2019.  Then Luci and I bought a Window Coverings franchise, closing on January 06, 2020, to keep me busy, very busy, "Budget Blinds of West Valley City".  We also moved from Layton, UT to Grantsville, UT.  My new email address is grant.dahlstrom@BudgetBlinds.com.  Luci just retired from almost 12 years as a flight attendant for SkyWest Airlines.  I'm looking forward to getting with all of you for our 50 year reunion, and this time, Luci will be with me.  Yea!!
