Gregory Harlan, age 67, passed away on January 20th, 2025.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 41 years Cathleen; daughters Stephanie (Mike) Becker and Jessica Harlan (Harley Swoboda); granddaughters Jocelyn, Addison and Bailey and brother Scott Harlan (Roxanne Eubank).

Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Alyce and H. "Nate" Harlan.

Greg grew up in St. Paul, MN and graduated from Highland Park High School in 1975. He went on to study film at Minneapolis community college and eventually worked for KMSP as a master control operator.

Greg was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes as a small child and was given a dire prognosis, but he never allowed that to slow him down and outlived that prognosis by over 55 years. Despite his health issues, he never complained. He adapted to each new challenge with humor and perseverance.

In high school he played a number of sports. As an adult, even after he had a number of amputations, he continued to participate in adaptive sports playing sled hockey with a local league and softball with the Rolling Twins.

He was an early adopter of new technologies designed to improve health care for diabetics. He spoke at a national Medtronic sales conference to share how their various technologies helped him live an active life.
