Enjoy being gainfully employed at this advanced age. Local editor of the Ladue-Frontenac Patch. Hyper local news source, owned by AOL, covering everthing that happens in our community, seven days a week. Includes many articles about LHWHS. Married 40 years, wife Barbara is a neonatal child therapist at Mercy Hospital. Two children, two grandchildren, living presently in Houston. Former mayor of Olivette. I work a lot and enjoy traveling when not. |

Am I finally retired. Yes, from Journalism. But 9 months a year, I go to work every day to substitute teach in a variety of districts, including Ladue. I've been through several arthritic driven joint-replacement surgeries, for my shoulder, both hips and foot. I pronounce myself well now. My wife Barbara has been a therapist in the NICU of Mercy Hospital going on 25 years. We've resided in the same house in Olivette, almost 43 years and we've been married now 46 years. We have two grandsons in Omaha, NE, our daughter Emily is a tri athlete and our son in law Tom is a VP for the Union Pacific Railroad. After many moves, they are pretty settled in Omaha. Our son Andrew is married to Dana and has twin boys, two years old on October 23, and live in Chicago's northside. They hardly even look like brothers, much less twins. I'm optimistic for the future and look forward to subbing at Ladue High, nearing the middle stage of its complete reconstruction. |

Partly retired Professor of Medicine, Oregon Health and Science University. Research involves rare (strange) lung diseases as models for common conditions. Met my Wife in Seattle, Washington; daughter and son born and raised in Portland- both married, one lives in Seattle and the other New York. One grandchild. My Mother (age 95) lives in St. Louis and is active in the community. I have other relatives in St. Louis and visit 1-2 times a year. I still play tennis but biking and playing squash are main sporting passions. I enjoy travel that includes physical activity (walking and biking), gardening, reading historical novels. |

It has been a long, eclectic journey, that keeps getting better and better. My wife, Ellen and I live in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. We have been married for 18 years. The true love of my life! No kids, but lots of animals over the years. Still swimming several days a week at Glenwood Hot Springs Pool, which I managed all through the 90's. Constantly restoring our 119 year old Victorian house 3 blocks up from the Colorado River. Have lived in about 14 places, one of which was the St. Louis Soulard neighborhood. Lived there for 9 years in the home of my best friend, Maryjane Rosenfeld. She should be at reunion. She lives in South Carolina now. Looking forward to seeing lots of old friends and visiting St. Louis and my family for 1st time in 8 years. Will be singing "Hail to Ladue" while driving back on I-70. Go Rams! |

Comment: Life has been great. After over forty years developing educational programs in the healthcare field, I retired and wrote a children's book and am enjoying my six grandchildren. Creating hand-crafted greeting cards, which sell in a local coffee shop, is a creative, therapeutic enterprise; and in order to stay physically and mentally healthy, I go to the gym regularly, travel several times a year with my husband, teach a retirement course, and read lots of books. |

I have been married 40 years. Peter (a retired architect) and I lived in Philadelphia 13 years and have been in Dallas 32 years, still adjusting to the heat. We have one son Shan who is living in Indianapolis with wife Alison and our three grandchildren, Abby, Alex and Caroline. Both Shan and Alison are doctors who met in St. Louis at Washington University Med. School. I started out doing landscape architecture in Philadelphia and in recent years have been a 211 Texas Infoline specialist and a benefits counselor with the Dalls Area Agency on Aging. Outside of the U.S., we have traveled mainly to Asia to see family. Life has taught me that I always need to be open to change, especially getting older. |
