Daphne Whitt

Daphne McNulty, 59, of Loveland, passed away on January 21, 2012 in Loveland. Daphne was born November 8, 1952 in Chamberlain, SD to Dona Sladek. She grew up in Loveland and attended Loveland High School. Daphne was a recent graduate from College America as a medical assistant. She worked for many years as a waitress in Loveland and most recently was a home health caregiver. Daphne loved writing poetry and had over 15 published works. She enjoyed reading and collecting wolves and unicorns. Daphne loved the mountains, especially Big Thompson Canyon and Estes Park. She was a very proud and loving mother and grandmother. Daphne is survived by her son Troy McNulty of Fort Collins; daughter Connie McNulty and husband Chris McCrum of Grand Junction; grandchildren Serenity and Christopher McCrum of Grand Junction; sister Kris Landers and Mike Steege of Loveland; niece Sara Cole and husband Travis and their children Teegan and Molly of Milliken; close friends Judy, EJ, and her devoted companion and cat Pepsi. An open house celebration of life will be held 11am-1pm Saturday at Pine Tree Village Clubhouse, 399 Amethyst Ave. Loveland, CO 80537. Memorial contributions can be made in Daphne’s honor to the American Diabetes Association in care of Resthaven Funeral Home.
