July 20, 1953 - June 20, 2014 John Allen Anderson died June 20, 2014 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born in Roswell, NM on July 20th, 1953. His father Hugo A. Anderson Jr. and mother Lois Hunt Anderson both have preceded him in death. John lived most of his life in Loveland. He attended schools in Loveland including graduating from Loveland High School. He received a batchelor of fine arts from CSU. John married his childhood love, Lora DuBois, in 1973. They reached 40 years of marriage last August. In September of 1980 they were blessed with first daughter, Emilie Dyan Anderson. In April of 1982 their second daughter was born. Allison Leigh Anderson with her husband James L. Blackwell and their 3 incredible, Aliya Jaylee (11), Jacquez Ajani (7) and Amaya Lora (1). After John's girls were born, he became a stockbroker for 18 years. He returned to his true love of art after retiring from the brokerage business. His copper sculptures are magnificent. They were shown at Sculpture in the Park and in Taos, NM. He also loved to fish and golf. He is also survived by his brothers and their wives, Hugo (Marianne) and Peter (Patti). There will be a celebration of life open house at the family home on Tuesday June 24th from 4pm to 7pm.
