David Brian Bernhardt, age 67, passed away on June 22, 2021. He was born January 26, 1954 in Loveland, Colorado to Leonard and Carolyn (Walker) Bernhardt. David graduated from Loveland High School in 1972 and went on to work for the Great Western Railroad. He later became a journeyman electrician with IBEW Local 68. Most of his career was spent with Sturgeon Electric. He was a loving father to his two daughters who were the most important part of his life. And a loving grandfather to his new granddaughter, who he adored just as much. He was most happy spending time in the Rocky Mountains and on fishing trips at Lake Pend Oreille in Sandpoint, Idaho. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him. He is survived by his mother, Carolyn (Walker) Bernhardt; daughter Sara (Brian) Guttero and their daughter Holland; daughter Rebecca (Chris) Greenhouse; brother Mark (Mary); numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Leonard Bernhardt. A celebration of life will take place for his immediate family later this year. Published by Loveland Reporter-Herald on Jun. 29, 2021.
