Bruce Volpe

Bruce E. Volpe November 3, 1953 - November 27, 2010 Bruce Edward Volpe, 57, passed away peacefully on Nov. 27, 2010. Bruce was born to Alfred E. and Gladys (Schultze) Volpe on Nov. 3, 1953. He lived in Manchester, NY, until Nov., 1970. He attended Red Jacket Central High School there until his junior year. In Nov., 1970, the family relocated to Loveland, CO, when Bruce’s father was transferred to Kodak in Windsor, CO. Bruce attended Loveland High for the rest of his junior and senior years, graduating in 1972. He played football at both of his high schools. After graduating, he worked at Valley Block. He began his long career at Kodak Colorado in 1973, retiring in 2007. Bruce’s extended family of grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins all lived in the Manchester area. His childhood and early teen years were filled with many fun and loved-filled events with the family. Bruce loved the outdoors, and became an avid hunter and fisherman. He was very involved with his son’s sports events. He enjoyed golfing, wood carving, and reading. He is preceded in death by his parents; his maternal grandparents, Curt and Gladys Schultze; his paternal grandparents, Carmine and Philomena Volpe; several uncles and aunts. Bruce is survived by his devoted wife and life-partner of 27 years, Peggy; his son, James Patrick (JP) Volpe; his two grandsons, Tyler Volpe and Josh Volpe; his sister, Diane Volpe; his niece, Corrie Dokulil; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is deeply loved by his family and friends, and will be greatly missed. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Bruce’s life on Dec. 9, 2010, from 6 – 8 PM at the Widow McCoy lounge, 1011 E. Eisenhower Blvd, Loveland, CO 80537.
