Kathy Gardner
November 1, 1953 - March 14, 2023
Kathy Gardner, 69, of Loveland, Colorado unexpectedly passed away in her home March 14, 2023. She was born on November 1st, 1953, to parents Eugene Gardner and Margaret Kraft.
Most of Kathy’s career was working for Hewlett Packard, however the last eight years she worked for the Governor’s Office of Information Technology, specifically within the Colorado Department of Transportation. During those eight years, she was awarded the Innovator Award as her ideas improved their IT systems which ultimately benefited customers of CDOT. She retired from the Governor’s Office of Information Technology in May 2022, and was awarded a Colorado State Flag as well as a signed letter from the Governor thanking her for her years of service.
The joy of Kathy’s life was family and friends, especially her two granddaughters. She loved spending time with them and attending their activities as much as possible was a top priority. Her other favorite activities with them were dying Easter eggs and decorating sugar cookies during the holidays. Her love and joy of her two granddaughters was known to all. She was also a big supporter of our active Military, First Responders and Veterans as she had family that have served or continue to serve.
She is survived by her daughter Melissa Haselhoff (husband Michael); granddaughter, Emma Haselhoff; granddaughter Paige Haselhoff; sister Cindy Nosko (husband Craig); brother Dan Gardner (wife Vera); brother Stan Gardner (wife Kathy); brother Tim Gardner (wife Robin); daughter-in-law Lori Gardner; half-sister Sherry Hagemann; and half-brother David Gardner. She is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Randy Gardner.
