Jack Edward Land, Jr., beloved brother, husband, and father passed away on June 30, 2024, at the age of 68. Jack was born on May 15, 1956, in San Antonio, Texas to Jack and Florence Land. He grew up in Austin, Texas, cherishing the fond memories of his parents and siblings Tom, Carrie, Dennis, and Paul. Jack joined the Air Force after high school and soon moved on to a technical career working for IBM. His career spanned over several decades until a previous injury forced an early retirement.

LOST CREEK, W.Va., July 20 (UPI) - A small plane developed engine trouble, crashed in a field and burst into flames minutes after taking off from Benedum Airport today, killing the four Texas men aboard.

Capt. Robert Leahy of the Cleveland police said the propeller driver aircraft, a Gulfstream Commander, crashed next to the Hilti Steel Industry Products Corporation while approaching the airport for a landing about 3:30 P.M.

The authorities tentatively identified the victims as J.W. Graham, the pilot; Jesse Lord, 27 years old; David Ischy, 23, and Gary Stanley, all from Austin.

Helen Louise Hoyo Martin, 93, passed away in Austin, Texas, September 29, 2021. She was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma to George and Pearl Hoyo.
She was predeceased by her husband of 31 years; Lt. Col. Robert Royal Martin. They have six children.

She was survived by her children Dana Ross Martin of Austin, Texas; Nina Lynn Ostrander and husband David of La Grange, Texas; Brook Alan Martin of Phoenix, Arizona; Gary Scot Martin of Wichita Falls, Texas; Kelly Bryan Martin and wife Monica of Greensboro, North Carolina; and Glen Evan Martin and wife Melissa of Collinsville, Illinois. Tracy, age 51, was born June 17, 1956 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. After a long courageous battle with cancer, Tracy passed away on May 22, 2008. Tracy was raised in Austin, Texas but spent most of his adult life working and living in Sugar Land, Texas. He and his wife, Cathy, met while attending high school in Austin. After many years of dating they realized they belonged together and wasted no time marrying and giving birth to their first child, Max. Leslie N. Munson, 61, of Uhrichsville, formerly of Austin, Texas, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017. Leslie was born October 10, 1955 to the late Malcolm and Tilda (Branch) Munson at Fort Dix, New Jersey and was raised all over the world as his father was enlisted in the U.S. Army. His family moved and settled in Austin, Texas in 1969.
