She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Steve Bowman; her son, Greg Monroe; her daughter, Tiffany Monroe Jones; her mother, Glad Purser; a brother, Rod Purser; two grandchildren, Caitlin and Carter Jones. She attended McCallum High School and Austin Community College and worked for the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired as a supervisor for 10 years.

John Paul Ramsey, 61, of Austin, Texas died February 10, 2017 from pancreatic cancer. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends.

John was born October 14, 1955 in Austin, Texas. He graduated from McCallum High School in 1974. He then graduated from the University of Texas in Austin in December 1978 with a BBA. He started working at Ramsey and Ramsey CPA Firm after graduating. He received his CPA Certificate in May of 1980. Later on he formed his own private corporation and helped many clients with their financial concerns for over 38 years.

Lillie Bernice Ransom was born on August 26th, 1929 in Manor, Texas. She was the first of three children of L.E. and L.B. Allen. In her early years she learned letters of the alphabet and numbers from a large wall calendar. By the time she was 6, she could read well and had an affinity for numbers. This kicked off a lifelong love of learning. Her education started in a one room school-house in Littig, until her family moved to Austin. There her education continued at The Old Olive Street School, Kealing Jr. High, and then the Old Anderson High School where she graduated in 1945 at the young age of 15.

Jose Angel Reyes of Austin, Texas passed away on Saturday, October 14th at the age of 68. He was born on May 3, 1955 in Austin, Texas where he grew up and lived almost his entire life.
He graduated from A.N. McCallum H.S. in 1974. He worked as a sales manager for a local tortilla factory until he retired. He was actively involved in the Baptist Church, music, and his family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his mother, Ludivina Belia Reyes, and his first wife, Petra Ann Gonzalez Reyes, brothers-in-law Kevin LaBuhn and Rick LaBuhn.

Alan Lawrence (Larry) Schechter died tragically in a plane crash with his best friend, Ron Pearson, on July 7, 1995. He was 39 years old. His death leaves a terrible void in the lives of those who loved him, including his parents, Dr. Robert and Mary Ethel Schechter; brothers and their wives, Richard and Sue Schechter, and Geoffrey Schechter and Tina Hoffman. He also leaves behind a niece an nephew; first cousins who loved him as a brother and numerous other cousins. In addition, Larry's countless friends will miss his love, warmth and loud laughter. Wimberley - Nolan Lee Speir, age 65, of Wimberley, Texas was born on August 22, 1955, and died in his home peacefully on Monday, June 14, 2021. Lee was an Austin native, having attended Webb and Lamar Middle School and McCallum High School where his love for sports flourished.
